After completing elementary school in New York, I served a four year apprenticeship in the construction trades. I traveled to Alaska, and it was there, inspired by the work of Tlingit Indian totem carvers, that I first became interested in art.
I moved to Los Angeles and enrolled at the Otis Arts Institute to study painting and graphics. While working as a construction contractor, I became more and more involved in art as a profession. I devoted full time to mastering both two and three dimensional art, including study ( five years ) with master painter and printmaker, Joseph Imagining.
