Anne Moore Knapp's artistic nature surfaced at an early age. She undertook a wide ranging education in multiple art disciplines resulting in a double BA in Art and Art Education. Recently concentrating on Pastels, she has found the media that best suits her needs for portability, spontaneity, and color. Equally at ease “en plein air” , in her studio, or in the classroom, she looks with wonder at the world and watches for opportunities to learn, create, and share her knowledge. The key to her success has been observing how light hits the forms in the landscape with an artistic eye. Her goal is to not only capture form and likeness, but to capture the deeper mood of the Northwest Landscape.
