Inspired by the beautiful and diverse environment and life the Pacific Northwest has to offer, Arnold’s love of nature is clearly expressed in her landscape, marine, equine and floral pieces. She particularly enjoys painting en Plein air.
Spending time in the studios of her father and uncle, both successful painters, and watching them at work enabled Carolyn to learn and be involved in art using various media for as long as she can remember. She studied art in Florence, Venice, and Vicenza, Italy and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Arnold’s work is represented in business, educational and private collections throughout the United States. She teaches watercolor and oil painting and gladly accepts commissioned work.
