I took interest in jewelry making in the Early 1980's when I was living in Eugene, Oregon. I took classes at the local Community College and eventually I was encouraged to sell my jewelry. When I moved here to Gig Harbor I was only able to continue with my jewelry for a short time when life took me in a different direction.

After 15 years of being away from jewelry I decided it was time to return to my passion. Part of the intrigue of making jewelry is finding unusual and different shaped stones to work with to shape the silver around.

I like using precious and semi-precious stones. I also like adding color to my work with some copper and gold enhancements as well as with colored resins and with the beautiful glass available today.

Whenever I need some inspiration I get books to read or I find classes to take. My jewelry is on permanent display at Ebb Tide Art Gallery downtown. Ebb Tide is an Artist Co-operative. Being there keeps me in touch with all kinds of mediums which is an inspiration too.
