Dianne has studied oil painting and portraiture ever since she was a little girl. She specializes in painting from life working either with a model in her studio or outside en plein air.
Owners of her portraits include J.R.R. Tolkien's great grandson Royd Tolkein, Bremerton artist and gallery own Amy Burnett, Renaissance Fair owner Ronald Cleveland, and many others both nationally and Internationally. She was the resident artist for the Washington State Renaissance fair for three years painting minature portraits from life.
Dianne has been an active member with Oil Painters of America, International Guild of Realism, The Portrait Society of America, Peninsula Art League, and Landscape Painters of America. She is the webmaster for Plein Air Washington and paints en plein air with that group. She has won several awards for her portraits and plein air paintings.
Dianne designs labels for the Bainbridge Island winery Perennial Vintners and has a collection of label art on permanent display at the Hotel Vintage Park in Seattle.
Currently she uses her talents as a graphic designer for a national magazine and also designs ads for a local newspaper.
