I grew up in southern California, climbing eucalyptus trees and stealing exotic fruits from neighbors' yards. I've lived in 25 states and enjoyed something about each one of them. My father's career as an architect led me to early explorations in drawing ( on the back of his blueprints). I'm a lifelong learner and have several degrees in various arts. Teaching is a source of inspiration and satisfaction, something I've done for over 40 years in various forms. My teaching informs my work , which is about life cycles and the balance of nature. All of my art reflects the natural processes of transformation.
