Susan Paredes’ early studies in design and color and her background in watercolor provided inspiration and impetus for incorporating inks, papers, pastels and acrylics into later images. Her current work uses strong graphic elements as a foundation for original prints, incorporating texture, fabric and other images into the finished piece. Her unique pieces invite the view to create their own interpretation of the work. As a contemporary artist, Susan revels in the element of mystery and the spontaneity of the process, which results in one-of-a-kind impressionistic images.
