At the 25 year point in my Air Force career, and with a need to drastically decrease the effect of job stress on my life, I decided to take a pottery class. Not only did the rhythm of the wheel improve my ability to reduce my stress level but I finally found an artistic outlet that I enjoyed and wanted to continue. These early years were during an assignment in Hawaii, which created the strong Asian influence in my work.
